Now sending and receiving money will be as simple as attaching a file in your Gmail Payments. That’s right, Google has introduced online transactions through Gmail app on Android platform. Split your dinning bill with friends, plan a trip together or make payments in a financial emergency, everything can be easily done through your Gmail app and Android phone. We checked out the feature, and found that sending money is similar to sending an attachment file in Gmail. All you need to do is press the attachment icon on your Gmail app and then choose whether to send or request money.
Doesn’t have a Gmail account?
Don’t worry; payments through Gmail are possible even if you don’t have a Google account! The biggest technology company has made the official announcement about this new feature which will give more power to digital transactions and plastic money.
You can easily send or receive money via email. Recipient can easily transfer money directly into their bank account WITHOUT any additional charges. There is no need for any other online payment app as long as you have Gmail app and an Android device. It’s clear that Google wants to compete with other online payment solution providers like PayPal, Stripe, and Venmo.
Currently this feature is available in US on web and android platform. Google will definitely expand it in near future to other countries.
